Antonio Gil has worked with members of the Alothon Group since 1998. He is Chairman of the Board of Alothon's portfolio company Telcom Towers/Rede Sul. Between 2001 and 2007, he was the CEO of portfolio company CPM (an IT services provider) where he continues to serve in the Board of Directors. He began his career at IBM, where he held a number of management positions including CEO of IBM Venezuela and COO of IBM Brazil. Between 1993 and 1996, he was President of Lucent Technologies Network Systems Brazil (formerly AT&T Network System Brazil). He served for 8 years as member of WTAC (World Telecommunications Advisory Council) of the ITU, the leading United Nations agency for information and communication technologies. He was a member of the Brazil-USA Business Council and participated in the Board of several Brazilian institutions. In August 2008, he joined the Brazilian Government Advisory Board on Exports (CONEX) in a two year assignment together with 20 key Brazilian private executives. Mr. Gil leads Brasscom (the Brazilian association of software and IT services companies), a position he has held since its foundation in February 2004. Mr. Gil graduated from ITA, the Aeronautical Institute of Technology, in São Paulo.
