Ettore V. Biagioni is the Managing Partner and founder (2004) of Alothon Group. Mr. Biagioni has been doing business in Latin America since the mid 1980’s and has worked with members of the firm since 1997. From 1995 to 2004, he served as Head of the Latin America Private Equity Group of Bankers Trust (BT), then of Deutsche Bank. He was also Head of BT’s Latin America M&A prior to the acquisition of BT by Deutsche Bank. Other employers include Brown Brothers Harriman & Co. in New York and McKinsey & Company in Italy. Mr. Biagioni also serves on boards of portfolio companies.
Mr. Biagioni holds a B.S. with distinction from Babson College and an M.B.A. from the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania.
Ana Paula Bannwart has worked with members of Alothon since 1997. She is a board member of portfolio companies and the CFO of Alothon. Prior to Alothon, she served as Director of the Latin America Private Equity Group of Deutsche Bank. As Director, she was responsible for originating, structuring, marketing, and overseeing Deutsche Bank’s private equity investments in Latin America, with special focus on Brazil. She has acted as CFO of a portfolio company in Brazil. Previously, she has served in various capacities in the São Paulo-based investment banking divisions of Itaú Bankers Trust, Citibank and Banco Pactual, and in the auditing arm of Price Waterhouse.
Ms. Bannwart holds a degree in Business Administration from Fundação Getúlio Vargas in São Paulo.
Thiago Aguiar joined Alothon in 2017 where his activities include the origination of new investments and working with senior members of portfolio companies. Prior to Alothon, he founded Southport Advisors, a Brazilian boutique specialized in M&A, and capital raising. Between 2007 and 2015 he worked in various positions at Patria Investimentos portfolio companies, including Zatix Tecnologia where he served in various capacities including CFO, Business Development Director and COO. Prior to Zatix, Mr. Aguiar was the strategic planning manager at Fotoptica. His professional experience also includes positions at Swiss Capital Asset Management and British Gas Group.
Mr. Aguiar holds a degree in Business Administration from Fundação Getulio Vargas in São Paulo.
Hannah Schuftan has worked with members of Alothon since 2005 where her activities include the evaluation of new investments and of strategic alternatives for portfolio companies. Prior to Alothon, in 1997 she joined Violy Byorum & Partners (“VBP”), a strategic advisory firm specializing in mergers and acquisition. At VBP, Ms. Schuftan was responsible for evaluating and implementing strategic alternatives for leading industrial conglomerates as well as originating and executing M&A transactions in the Andean region, Mexico and the Southern Cone. Ms. Schuftan has also been an advisor to Copal Partners, an Indian Business Process Outsourcing Firm.
Ms. Schuftan holds a B.A. from Tufts University.
